David Ortiz

David Ortiz joined the video game industry in 1996 and is an innovative executive with over two decades of global experience pioneering award winning products in both the video game and real money gaming markets. David is currently CEO and Founder of Simwin Sports, a company focused on developing groundbreaking experiences at the intersection of fantasy sports, sports betting, and esports.

Over his career, David has built and lead award winning products and teams inside of Fortune 500 corporations and as an independent entrepreneur. At EA Sports David held a senior leadership role on the Madden NFL team and helped pioneer the Game Designer role for Microsoft working on the NFL Fever franchise and helping launch the first ever title on the XBOX LIVE platform.

With a deep appreciation for the global appeal of games and the dynamics of the international gaming market, his experience extends to launching a video game publishing company in Abu Dhabi funded by the Abu Dhabi Media Company, and holding director and senior executive roles at Sony and Warner Bros Games.

As an entrepreneur David founded Deuces Digital and patented a disruptive real time prediction technology, leading Deuces Digital to be acquired by iPro Inc. and partnering with Penn National Gaming and IGT. 

Committed to balancing his time as an entrepreneur and being of service, David volunteers as a high school football coach at Rancho Christian High School, has taught tech entrepreneurship to Mexican exchange students at Seattle University, and is a Board Advisor to the Washington State University Game Development Program.  David is often asked to speak on the topic of diversity in the gaming and technology markets, and has willingly done so for several leaders and groups passionate about this topic.
