In a collaboration with the International Game Developers Association (IGDA), IGDA Foundation, Girls Make Games Scholarship Fund, and in partnership with Unlikely Collaborators™, we are delighted to share an exciting opportunity for game developers  – Unlikely Collaborators™ Game Jam.

The Unlikely Collaborators™ Game Jam is open to U.S.-based teams living in the United States and we invite all eligible participants and teams to craft exceptional game prototypes!

Teams will have the chance to enhance their game development skills, meet and collaborate with other game creators, connect with games industry mentors, and potentially win prizes ranging from $3,000 to $12,000 for their team’s game following the judging by a panel of industry experts.

Interested creators can join our Discord to find team members. All qualifying teams and their members must register and submit their final prototype game on this Itch.io page.

If individuals are unable to join the game jam as a developer, but want to support this Game Jam in another capacity, we are seeking judges and mentors. If this is of interest, please sign up.

Create Your Prototype

All games must be designed for PC platform.

  • Theme: Announced February 20 @9AM PT across our channels.

  • Deadline to submit project: March 4 @11:59PM PT on the Itch.io Game Jam Page.

 Judging Criteria

Projects will be judged on the following elements: 

  • 10 points for Gameplay 

  • 10 points for Theme

  • 10 points for Graphics 

  • 5 points for Audio 

  • 5 points for Reviewer’s Discretion
