Laura Teclemariam
Laura Teclemariam brings over 17 years of high-tech experience working in product management, interactive media design, and software engineering to Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment. She has experience in leading mobile game development and has managed strategic products from Economy Design to Game Monetization. Laura is currently responsible for the product management direction for WB Games San Francisco, which owns titles like Harry Potter Wizards Unite and DC Legends. In addition to championing the product vision, she is responsible for managing the business and making sure the monetization design establishes the right key metrics to showcase confidence in the market.
Before WB, Laura was the Director of Product Management at Glu Mobile and led Glu’s newest RPG product, Disney Sorcerer’s Arena, which became an industry darling. Prior to Glu, Laura led EA’s Engagement, Targeting, and Advertising suite of enterprise products, the core marketing technology for all EA games. Managing a portfolio of over $250 million across EA’s mobile platform, she worked cross-functionally to scope, define, and deliver EA’s player’s experience. She also worked in the studio on ‘Triple-A’ game development titles, including Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, FIFA 16, Mirror Edge: Catalyst, Plants vs. Zombies 2, and Pogo.
Prior to EA, Laura led the developer tools efforts for a $100 million mobile advertising company, Tapjoy. She also founded and ran her marketing and advertising startup for seven years, which focused on the Sports and Entertainment industries. In her humble beginnings, she worked for several Forbes Top 100 Companies, including Deloitte Consulting as an Oracle Consultant and Microsoft Corporation as a Partner Account Manager. At Microsoft, she led the technical and marketing analysis for business partners in the Southern California region. Early in her Microsoft career, she worked in the MS Office Excel group as a Software Engineer.
Laura received her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, and is featured in the UCI Engineering Hall of Fame. She grew her business tenacity by acquiring her Executive MBA at the Haas School of Business from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a regular speaker in gaming, diversity in tech, and the intersectionality of tech and entertainment.
