Ahmed Mahmoud
Coming from the construction industry after graduating from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST) in Cairo, Egypt, Ahmed decided to pursue a career in game development. He started first by learning how to program and how to work with game engines in his spare time. After that, he focused on making games by joining several game jams, including Ludum Dare 47, Brackey’s 2021.1 Game Jam, and the Opera GX “No Internet” game jams. He then took his career to the next step after working as a freelancer Unity programmer for various employers in the mobile games industry, as well as in the indie space. Ahmed believes that games are a medium that combines several artforms that are corroborated by other forms of art, such as music, cinematics, and narrative. Playing games, and creating new things is what motivates him the most.
