Neil Kirby
Neil Kirby is a senior lecturer in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. There he teaches low-level programming and game development. He was awarded the College of Engineering’s Charles E. MacQuigg Award for Outstanding Teaching in 2021. Prior to this he was a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories for many years. Neil is the author of An Introduction to game AI. His other publications include articles in volumes I, II, and IV of AI Game Programming Wisdom. He co-wrote “Effective Requirements Traceability: Models, Tools and Practices” for the Bell Labs Technical Journal. Neil holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University. He was a driving force behind the creation of the IGDA Foundation and serves on its board.
